  3. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

  4. 3 tablespoon or 42g cold unsalted butter

  5. 1/2 cup or 65g pecan halves

Cinnamon Swirl:

  1. 1/4 cup or 50g granulated sugar

  2. 2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  3. 1 tablespoon or 9g flour

Pumpkin batter:

  1. 1 1/4 cup or 300ml pure pumpkin puree

  2. 1/2 cup or 110g packed dark brown sugar

  3. 1/2 cup or 100g granulated sugar

  4. 2 large eggs at room temperature

  5. 1/3 cup opr 75g unsalted butter melted

  6. 1 teaspoon or 5ml pure vanilla extract

  7. 1 3/4 cups or 250g all purpose flour

  8. 3/4 teaspoon baking powder

  9. 3/4 teaspoon baking soda

  10. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  11. 1 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

  12. 2/3 cup or 160ml whole milk

Lets make it:

  1. Craft the Streusel Topping: Start by blending flour, sugar, and butter with your fingertips in a bowl. Mix until it resembles damp, enticing crumbs. This crumbly topping will add a delightful texture to your bread. Set aside.

  2. Create the Cinnamon Swirl: In a separate bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon until it's a harmonious blend of sweet and spicy. This swirl will be the heart of your bread, offering a burst of flavor in every bite.

  3. Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a 9x5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper, setting the stage for your baking masterpiece.

  4. Mix the Pumpkin Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, melted butter, both sugars, vanilla, and eggs until well blended and smooth. The rich pumpkin and sweet sugars create a base that's both flavorful and moist.

  5. Combine Dry Ingredients: Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin spice, and salt. Whisk them together for an even blend. This mixture will infuse your bread with the quintessential fall flavors.

  6. Blend Batter: Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently. Before it's fully incorporated, add milk, continuing to fold until everything is evenly combined.

  7. Layer the Bread: Pour a third of the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar over it. Add another third of the batter, gently spreading over the cinnamon sugar. Finish by layering the remaining batter.

  8. Add Toppings: Sprinkle half of the streusel crumble over the batter, followed by a scattering of pecans. Crown it with the rest of the crumble, creating a topping that promises crunch and flavour.

  9. Bake to Perfection: Bake for 50-60 minutes. It's ready when it feels firm and a skewer comes out clean from the center. This is the moment when your kitchen fills with the irresistible aroma of baked goodness.

  10. Cool and Serve: Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 20 minutes. Then, using the parchment paper, lift it onto a wire rack to cool completely. This patience will reward you with a bread that's perfectly set and ready to slice.
